September 18, 2002: Matt mentioned Bitzi (where he's worked). Bitzi is a "metadata publishing company" which puts out OpenBits a sort of dmoz for media-file metadata. I like the idea of this--it's sorely needed--but I'm still worrying about how we get complete and coherent metadata entered. Perhaps it's just a matter of time and having enough monkeys typing away.
