September 17, 2002: Fontscape is a directory of typefaces organized by multiple different attributes, including Application, Mood, Period, Appearance, and Simulation (pen, handwriting, LCD). It may be imperfect, but it definitely shows the limited usefulness of the various standard type classification schemes. (via xplane)
