March 22, 2000: Information Seeking on the Web offers a pretty formal, 2-dimensional model of the ways people look for info on the Web. On one hand, the different search modes suggest different (though not necessarily contradictory) design objectives. On the other hand, I keep thinking that the most important "usability" factor is the quality of the information.
